This Privacy Policy explains how SHADE (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
SHADE is designed to be privacy-focused.
- Personal Data: We do not store your name, or habits on our own servers. All habit data is stored locally on your device or synced via your personal iCloud (CloudKit).
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., crash reports, feature usage) to improve the App.
2. AI & Third-Party Services
To provide the core “Shade” functionality, we use third-party services:
- OpenAI API: When you chat with the AI or receive generated notifications, the text you input is sent to OpenAI for processing. We do not use your data to train OpenAI’s models. Please refer to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy for more details.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. Anonymous purchase data is processed to validate your subscription status.
3. Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your credit card information or billing details.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
